תיאור: כרם בתל עבדת בנגב
הערות: חורבות תל עבדת מעל ערוץ נחל צין. עיר נבטית על ציר המסחר בין פטרה לנמל עזה, דרך הבשמים. נוסדה על ידי הנבטים במאה ה-3 לפנה"ס. ע"ש המלך הנבטי עבדת. במקום שרידים רבים, בתי מגורים ומגדל תצפית, גת לענבים, שברי מקדשים וכנסיות, מצודה, מחנה צבאי, כוכים למגורים, בית מרחץ וטרסות חקלאיות. לרגליה באר בעומק שישים מטר לצד בית מרחץ רומי. הייתה מרכז חקלאי חשוב בנגב. עבדת נפגעה במאה ה-1 בידי שבטים ערבים. בתקופה הביזנטית נהנתה מתמיכה כלכלית וצבאית ובין המאה ה-4 למאה ה-7 הגיעה לשיא פריחה. ב 630 נפגעה ברעידת וננטשה.
