English: Name: Redding Power Station Description: Redding Power Station - Tel Aviv עברית: שם: תחנת כח רדינג תיאור: תחנת כח רדינג - תל אביב הערות: רֶדִינְג היא תחנת כוח לייצור חשמל הממוקמת צמוד לשפך הירקון בת"א. ע"ש הלורד רופוס דניאל אייזקס, המרקיז מרדינג, שהיה יו"ר דירקטוריון חברת החשמל בשנות ה־20 וה־30. תחנת הכוח נבנתה ב 1937- 1938. בשטח התחנה פעלו גם סדנאות ייצור נשק בלתי לגאלי עבור ההגנה. ב1948 נחנכה בתחנה יחידה ייצור נוספת בעלת יכולת ייצור של 12 מגה-ואט, שמילאה את חסרונה של תחנת נהריים (18 מגה-ואט) שהושבתה לאחר כיבושה על ידי הלגיון הירדני. החל מתקופה זו ועד להקמת תחנת הכוח באשדוד ייצרה תחנת רדינג כמחצית מכמות החשמל הארצית. מיקום: תל אביב קובץ מקורי: 20230515_152224-01.jpeg |
