Description: The 179th Brigade (Ozbet Ram) is an armored brigade in reserve that fought in the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War.

תיאור: חטיבה 179 (עוצבת ראם) היא חטיבת שריון במילואים שלחמה ברמת הגולן במהלך מלחמת יום הכיפורים.
הערות: החטיבה, בפיקוד רן שריג, לחמה בדרום רמת הגולן במהלך קרבות הבלימה, השתתפה בקרבות לכיבוש המובלעת הסורית ב-11–12 באוקטובר 1973 ובקרבות במובלעת מול חילות המשלוח הערביים. לקראת סוף המלחמה נשלחה לגזרת סיני, והשתתפה בכיבוש נמל עדביה. במהלך המלחמה איבדה החטיבה 84 מחייליה. (ויקיפדיה)
