English: Name: Locomotive in Lod Description: Model train locomotive in Lod עברית: שם: קטר בלוד תיאור: דגם קטר רכבת בלוד הערות: דגם של הקטר הראשון שפעל בארץ ישראל, קטר קיטור מס' 1 של חברת הרכבת יפו-ירושלים. הקטר נבנה בשנת 1890 על-ידי חברת Baldwin (בולדווין) בארה"ב וערך את נסיעתו הראשונה בארץ ב-3 באוקטובר 1890. לקטר התלווה קרון אספקה למים ולפחם. היו 5 קטרים מס' 1-5. הקטר המקורי נהרס וזהו דגם המוצב בכניסה לבניין ההנהלה של רכבת ישראל, בלוד. העיר לוד הייתה מרכז תחבורה רכבתית בראשית ימי הרכבת בארץ. בימי המנדט יצאו מהעיר לוד רכבות לרחבי המזרח התיכון, ומהם לאירופה ואסיה. אישים רמי מעלה עצרו בה במהלך מסעותיהם. מיקום: לוד קובץ מקורי: 20230930_140305.jpg |
