שם: גן החפיר בעכו
תיאור: גן החפיר ליד חומת עכו העתיקה
הערות: חומות עכו המקיפות את העיר העתיקה נבנו ע"י העות'מאנית ב1750-1840. החומה הראשונה הוקמה על ידי דאהר אל עומר ב 1750–1751, בגובה כ-10 עד 13 מטר, והיו בה מגדלי הגנה. החומות חוזקו ב 1775 ו-1779 על ידי אחמד אל-ג'זאר, והגנו על העיר במצור נפוליאון ב1799.הביצורים כללו חומת מגן, תעלת הגנה, עמדות לתותחים ועוד. חומת היבשה השתמרה לכל אורכה, יחד עם החפיר החיצוני המקביל לה. בחומת המזרחית גרמי מדרגות העולים אל החומה, ובה שני מגדלים קטנים. למעלה נטמנו שרידי רבים מהחללים המצרים שנהרגו בפיצוץ תחמושת בהפגזה 1840
