English:
Name: A monument to the memory of the Machal
Description: The monument in memory of the martyrs of the military stands about half a kilometer south of the Shaar HaGai interchange. It was erected in honor of over 3,000 foreign volunteers to Israel from about 30 countries, who came to fight with the Yishuv in Israel in the War of Independence, and commemorates the names of 121 of them who fell in the war.

תיאור: האנדרטה לזכר חללי המח"ל ניצבת כחצי קילומטר מדרום למחלף שער הגיא. היא הוקמה לכבוד למעלה מ-3,000 מתנדבי חוץ לארץ מכ-30 מדינות, שבאו ללחום עם היישוב בארץ ישראל במלחמת העצמאות, ומנציחה את שמותיהם של 121 מהם שנפלו במלחמה.
הערות: מתחם האנדרטה הוא רחבת חצץ מעוגלת בלב חורשה ואתר פיקניקים. במרכז הרחבה ניצב פסל בטון צבוע בלבן ואפור של האותיות מ', ח' ול', הערוכות בחצי עיגול. על גבי הפסל נקבעו שלטים ועליהם שם האנדרטה ושם מתכננה והכתובת תש"ח - 1948 ולפניהם כן ללהבת זיכרון.האנדרטה תוכננה על ידי אדריכל הנוף יורם שחם ונחנכה בשנת 1993. בשנת 2008, לכבוד אירועי מלאת 60 שנה להקמת המדינה, שוקמה והורחבה האנדרטה בתכנונו של ראובן ג'ימבשו.
