Description

DB Schenker class 92 number 92024 named "J.S. Bach" built by Brush Traction at Loughborough in 1995 painted in EWS two tone railfreight grey livery and a three 'O' shaped channel tunnel logo working 6B37 hauling empty ICA NACCO (North American Car Corporation) china clay slurry tankers and a number of unloaded flat wagons attached on the back (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/13961344578/in/photostream/">www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/13961344578/in/photost...</a>), from Wembley European Freight Operating Centre to Dollands Moor Sidings as part of their return journey to Antwerpen (Antwerp) Docks, Belgium from Irvine Scotland on 9 May 2014. For the route taken see (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14289727859/">www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14289727859/</a>). Where they could be identified numbers of 13 of the tankers and 2 of the wagons were 37 80 7898 067-9, 37 80 7898 079-4, 37 80 7898 059-6, 37 80 7898 050-5, 37 80 7898 107-3, 37 80 7898 065-3, 37 80 7898 052-1, 37 80 7898 062-0 (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14145106312/in/photostream/">www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14145106312/in/photost...</a>), 37 80 7898 045-5, 37 80 7898 066-1, 37 80 7898 049-7, 37 80 7898 040-6, 37 80 7898 110-7 and empty flat wagons including numbers 33 68 4909 446-9 and 37 68 4909 078-0. Once the tankers arrive back at Antwerpen Docks they are reloaded with china clay slurry (kaolin) made from rocks rich in kaolinite, Al2Si2O5(OH)4, imported from Brazil. This slurry is transported to Irvine, Scotland by 6S94 where it is used by the Finnish company, UPM-Kymmene (United Paper Mills Ltd) Corporation's at their Caledonian Paper Mill to produce lightweight coated paper for printing magazines, catalogues and brochures.
