Description
English: Invest 91L, as viewed from the MODIS aboard the Aqua satellite on July 30, 2011. At the time, 91L was a well defined tropical disturbance located in the central Atlantic Ocean. The National Hurricane Center gave the wave an 80% chance of formation into a tropical system in the following 48 hours. 91L is forecast to gradually move west-northwest, potentially impacting the northern Lesser Antilles. Forecast models like the GFS and HWRF predict that the storm will impact Puerto Rico to some extent before re-curving out to sea, taking a track similar to 2010's Tropical Storm Fiona. Other models like NOGAPS suggest that the system may impact the Greater Antilles and Bahamas and maybe even the United States East Coast.
