עברית: חורשת הסרג'נטים נתניה

Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_90819_IMG_20210311_112231_1.jpg Notes: חורשת הסרג'נטים - יער נתניה כ- 255 דונם במזרח העיר. בקיץ 1947, דנו הבריטים למוות שלושה אנשי אצ"ל יעקב וייס, אבשלום חביב ומאיר נקר. אנשי אצ"ל חטפו ביולי 1947 שני סרג'נטים בריטיים בנתניה, כבני ערובה, שנשמרו במלטשת יהלומים נטושה. הבריטים ערכו חיפושים באזור ונכשלו. הבריטים סירבו להיענות לאצ"ל לשחרור הנידונים למוות תמורת שחרור הסרג'נטים, וב- 28 ביולי 1947 הועלו לגרדום שלושת אנשי אצ"ל בכלא עכו. למחרת נמצאו גופות שני הסרג'נטים בחורשה זו, לאחר שנתלו בידי אנשי אצ"ל. הבריטים הפסיקו את ההוצאות להורג בארץ.
