Description
English: Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. July 1970. Private Ian Wise of Tweed Heads, NSW, and Pte Tom Williams of Scone, NSW, both serving with 8th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (8RAR), loaded with machine gun ammunition, ride 'shotgun' as they head off on Operation Petrie aboard a Centurion tank during a hunt for concealed Viet Cong bunker systems. 8RAR later located and destroyed a big enemy bunker hideout.
