Description
English: Early Medieval? lead spindle whorl, 40mm in diameter and 19mm thick. The object weighs 185grams and has a 10mm diameter central hole. It has slighty tapering edges and no decoration.

The form of this whorl allows it to be placed in Walton Rogers Type B2 (2007, 232-6) which she saw as dating from the Iron Age through into the seventh century
