Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_89539_DSC01764.JPG Notes: בית ג'לאט נבנה בשנת 1926 על פי תוכניות האדריכל ספירו ח'ורי פתאסיס עבור אליאס ג'לאט ורעייתו קתרין. אליאס ג'לאט היה איש עסקים ערבי נוצרי - קתולי אשר שימש כקונסול כבוד של הונגריה בירושלים, וכנשיא מועדון רוטרי בירושלים.ב 1948, לאחר דרישה של ארגון ההגנה, עזבו בני המשפחה את ביתם ועברו ללבנון. משם היגרו לאנגליה ולארצות הברית.במהלך מלחמת העצמאות הועבר המבנה לידי מוסד עליית הנוער. במבנה שוכנו ילידי עליית הנוער שהתגוררו קודם לכן במוצא, ואשר נאלצו לעזוב בשל הפגזות צבא ממלכת ירדן.
