Description
Italiano: Giuseppe Grandi, Monumento a Cesare Beccaria in Piazza Beccaria a Milano. Il monumento sorge pressappoco sul luogo su cui sorgeva in passato la casa del boia, e fu inaugurato il 19 marzo 1871. Le statue in marmo, corrose, furono sostituite da repliche in bronzo nel 1914. English: Giuseppe Grandi, monument to Cesare Beccaria in Piazza Beccaria in Milan, Italy. The monuments stands on the spot formerly occupied by the hangman's house. It was inaugurated on March 19 1871. The marble statues, because of corrosion, were replaced with bronze replicas in 1914. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, jan. 29 2007.
