Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_88935_20220802_124754.jpg Notes: ארתור רופין היה ממיסדי שכונת רחביה, הוא שהחליט על רכישת הקרקע מהכנסייה היוונית אורתודוקסית על ידי חברת הכשרת היישוב. את ביתו תכננו האדריכלים אליעזר ילין ווילהלם הקר שתכננו מבנים רבים נוספים בשכונה. המבנה נבנה בסגנון הבינלאומי, אולם שילב מספר מוטיבים מזרחיים. הבנייה החלה בשנת 1924 והסתיימה בשנת 1925. היה זה אחד המבנים הראשונים בשכונה שנבנה על ידי פועלים עבריים. את פנים המבנה עצבה רעיתו של רופין - חנה. בביתו נהג ארתור רופין להיפגש עם מנהיגי היישוב העברי ובהם אחד העם וחיים ארלוזורוב(ויקיפדיה)
