Description
English: Looking N from Kentucky approach to Clark Bridge (U.S. Highway 31 North).

Belknap Hardware warehouse is being converted to office space for Presbyterian Church (USA) headquarters. This brick and stone warehouse at 127 W. Washington Street (north-east corner of Second and Washington Streets) was built in 1905-1906. Though not the first Belknap warehouse to be built, it is designated as warehouse # 1 in this map of Belknap warehouses. At right is rear of building (at NE corner 2nd and Main Streets) which housed headquarters of Louisville and Nashville Railroad from 1877 to 1907, when they moved to 9th and Broadway.
