Description
English: J. S. Jenks at 8301 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, was built in 1922-1924 in Tudor Revival/Late Gothic Revival style and designed by Irwin T. Catherine, longtime architect for the School District. The building is yellow brick and is relatively ornate with a parapet and stylized Flemish gable at the top of the building. The school is on the National Register of Historic Places and is also in the Chestnut Hill Historic District on the NRHP.
