Description |
English: Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 29mm in diameter, 8mm thick with a weight of 34.4 grams. The whorl has two tiered pellet decoration. There is an outer ring of circular pellets within which is a raised circular ridge, bounding a second ring of circular pellets interspersed with V-shaped motifs radiating from the central hole. The other face is very worn but appears to have raised line decoration, again there appears to be a raised central section but this is very worn. |
