Description 80-G-43586: The GB & T Railroad built by the 26th Seabees on Guadalcanal. They named it the Guadalcanal, Bougainville, and Tokyo Express. There were 2 gas locomotives but only was in running condition called the “Admiral”. The train hauled supplies from the harbor to a various depots. The parlor car gave its passengers plenty of fresh air and sunlight. Photograph released November 3, 1943. (8/18/2015).
