Description
English: Cast copper alloy hair pin. Roman. 'Bead-and-reel' style, dating to the second to early third century AD.

Three 'beads' connected by narrower segments. The shaft of the pin is 3mm in diameter and circular in section, but widens out slightly in the central section. The shaft tapers down slightly towards a very blunt end, which may be broken and blunted post-depostionally.
