Title |
7C7323 Medieval copper alloy buckle plate? |
||
Description |
English: Medieval? copper alloy buckle plate, 30mm long, 10mm wide and 1mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 1.46grams. The object is rectangular in form and section and consists of a plate with a circular domed terminal at one end, with a recessed pin space and 'hinges' at the other. Near the pin recess is a large rivet with a domed top. There are two further rivet holes at the far end and it appears to have a decorative border running down each long edge. The object is probably a buckle plate, although it may ba a book fitting? |
