Title
78D125 b spindle whorl
Description
English: Medieval or post medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 30mm in diameter and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a cream patina. The object has been very crudely cast and has an uneven lip around each outer edge. It has a central hole, 10mm in diameter and this is surrounded by a series of raised circles on one face, whilst the other appears to have a random series of raised lines. This side also has the Initials H O picked out in raised Roman lettering, which suggests a later date.
