Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_75910_4jpg Notes: הגת נבנתה ונחפרה על ידי אנשי העיר הרומיתביזאנטית אמאוס שהייתה ממוקמת באזור הכניסה לפארק איילון קנדה יבול הענבים הונח על גבי המשטחים הצמודים לגת דריכת הענבים נעשתה ברגלים על פני רצפת הפסיפס של הגת העליונה ומשם זרם מיץ הענבים דרך הצנור לגת התחתונה לסחיטה נוספת שימש בור חצוב במרכז משטח הדריכה פעולת הסחיטה נעשתה בעזרת משקולת אבן כבדה שהותאמה לבור במיוחד גת משוכללת זו שמשה כרמים רבים והיתה מעין בית חרושת לייצור יין הגת מאפיינת את הפריחה החקלאית של ארץ ישראל בתקופה הרומיתביזאנטות
