• Shield: Per fess Gules (Crimson) and Or, in chief on and over a lance rest two lances saltirewise all Proper.
• Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Michigan Army National Guard: From a wreath Or and Gules, a griffin segreant Or.
• Motto: "Palpitantes Proelii" ("Heartbeat of Combat")

• Shield: The colors crimson and yellow refer to the unit's original activation and service as an Ordnance-Maintenance organization. The lances and lance rest symbolize support of combat arms, and also to the home station of Lansing, Michigan.
• Crest: The crest is that of the Michigan Army National Guard.

The coat of arms was originally approved on 20 Nov 1956. It was redesignated for the 107th Maintenance Battalion on 7 Aug 1964. On 5 Jun 1972 the coat of arms was cancelled. The insignia was reinstated and redesignated with symbolism updated for the 746th Maintenance Battalion.
