• Shield: Per bend Or and Gules (crimson), a bezant charged with a broadarrow Gules palewise bearing a hawk head erased Yellow, detailed Sable eye garnished Argent, all entoured by a hex nut, two points palewise Celeste.
• Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Iowa Army National Guard: From a wreath Or and Crimson, a hawk's head erased Proper.
• Motto: "Maintain, Support, Defend"

• Shield: Crimson and light blue are the colors used for Maintenance. The insignia shape is that of the silhouette of a hex nut symbolizing the maintenance mission. The arrowhead at center refers to the unit's World War II service for which it was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation and French Croix de Guerre with Palm. The hawk's head denotes the unit's home location and origin in Iowa, the "Hawkeye State."

The coat of arms was approved on 18 Mar 1998.
