Summary
[edit]Description70-class refuelling at Waterside station (geograph 3466287).jpg |
English: 70-class refuelling at Waterside station The UTA built 70-class DEMUs were very thirsty beasts, averaging about 6 miles per gallon of diesel. This usually required the Waterside based set to be refuelled after only one round-trip to Belfast. Brake-blocks also required constant replacement. No. 77 "River Braid" receives attention at the end of the departure platform. The off-white and maroon livery suggests this is 1973. |
