Description
English: Tharu man on our front porch. I have been told that the Terai was only inhabited by Tharus and mosquitoes up until the 60's, when the jungle was cut down and the Indians moved in from the south and the Nepalis from the north. The wonderful Gurung family I was so lucky to stay with had moved down from Gorkha in the 70's.
