Français : Charleville-Mézières (France – Dép.des Ardennes).

Cliché pris aux abords de la Porte du Theux. La citadelle de Mézières est visible sur la droite. L'emplacement des Moulins Pommery incendiés lors des bombardement de 1870 a donné place à un bâtiment néoclassique renfermant les Turbines A.Clément -1898-, (l'actuel centrale hydroélectrique Mazarin). Le cliché est antérieur à 1895-1896, soit avant la réalisation des premiers travaux sur le cours du "Canal du Moulin", dénommé ainsi à l'époque.

L'énergie électrique crée permettait d'alimenter l'usine La Macérienne d' Adolphe Clément-Bayard.
