Français : Charleville-Mézières (France – Dép.des Ardennes).

Cliché pris aux abords de la Porte du Theux. La citadelle de Mézières est visible sur la droite. L'emplacement des Moulins Pommery* incendiés lors des bombardement du 31 décembre 1870 a donné place à un bâtiment néoclassique renfermant les Turbines A.Clément -1898-, (l'actuelle centrale hydroélectrique Mazarin). Le cliché est antérieur à 1895-1896, soit avant la réalisation des premiers travaux sur le cours du "Canal du Moulin", dénommation de l'époque. L'énergie électrique créée permettait d'alimenter l'usine La Macérienne d' Adolphe Clément-Bayard.
