Summary
[edit]Description7-note-shape-note-hymnal-2.png |
English: Another scan showing a hymn (Amazing Grace) written using the 7-note shape-note system, in the traditional congregational hymnal format. These shape-note hymnals once completely dominated churches in the South, and are still in use in many churches. Scanned for the Shape note and Independent Fundamental Baptist articles. This scan depicts a newer and cleaner font that the other, older one. |
Date | Scan made December 2, 2008 |
Source | I created this scan by myself, of a song which is in the public domain due to age. (QUESTION: The song is public domain, but is this arrangement? From where was it scanned and has the copyright on the arrangement lapsed? There is a difference between the copyright of the song and that of a particular arrangement of that song.) |
