~ Explore highest position : #148 on 2010-03-21 ~ Wow... It's been a while since my last time on Flickr. I'll be visiting your stream shortly. Right now, I'm in vacation and don't have the time to surf on Flickr :P On March 13th 2010, I have participated to an event : The 12 hours ski challenge (noon to midnight). We were needed to create a team of 4 participants and collect a minimum of 400$ for Leucan. Leucan provide many needed services to children with cancer and their families across Quebec such as financial assistance, welcome, emotional assistance and support services, information, hosting and support in playrooms, massage therapy at the hospital and in the region, socio-recreational activities, support groups, school life and end-of-life and bereavement follow-up services, in addition to its significant financial contribution to clinical research. Our team collected 1 000$ of donations. It's crazy to think about the fact that my contibution to this even can save a child life. If I'm right, altogether (the 12 teams), we have raised 12 500$ for the children with cancer. Not bad for a first edition (in our region)! Here's a picture I did for this event :) P.S My legs were hurting so much the day after haha! Funny note : Usualy I do snowboarding... but I did waterboarding that day haha. It was so warm that lot of snow melted near the chairlift.... so there was like a lake that you needed to cross. ~ Strobist info ~ ~ Nikon D80 : 1/200 ~ f/4.0 ~ ISO 400 ~ SB-600 : 1/16 /w shoot-through umbrella up/right. |
