English: Corporal Nicholas B. Werner, an intelligence analyst with 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, and native of Troy, Pa, updates data on a map during a training command post exercise Sept. 18, 2013, inside the II Marine Expeditionary Force Simulation Center aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. “Part of being a Marine is that you have to be ready, so as the headquarters element we have to be ready to react to anything that comes up,” said Maj. Kemper Jones, the operations officer with 6th Marines, from Richmond, Va. “It is part of our progressive training plan to make sure we are crawling, walking and then running in terms of our COC (command operation center) training.”
