Description On Monday 7 July 2014 several hundred meters of overhead power cable and the hangers that support it in one of the two tunnels making up the channel tunnel was damaged by a Le Shuttle train causing cancelations and delays to Eurostar services and Le Shuttle car services into Tuesday 8 July until just after midday (12:12) when it was reopened. Eurotunnel continued to operate on Monday by using one tunnel for trains in both directions, changing the direction about every 90 minutes claiming to have run 51 Eurostars, 6 freight trains and transported 4,860 passenger vehicles and 2,284 trucks through the tunnel. However here 66107 can be seen running light engine with 0E26 having brought a loaded steel train down from Scunthorpe overnight.
