Description

according to gwr7007 66021 6E26 Dollands Moor-Scun RS to belmont, 66 number 126 forward to Scunthorpe.

DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66021 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon livery with zigzag gold band, large number and EWS logo is photographed working 6E26 from Dollands Moor sidings to Scunthorpe Redbourne sidings on 23 May 2015. This service returns empty FIA 'Multifret' twin intermodal flat wagons used to transport steel for export in billet form from Tata Steels Scunthorpe complex on South Humberside in Lincolnshire (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/98929239@N03/14032630236/in/photostream/">see Andy Pictons photo</a>) to a freight yard at Ebange in Eastern France via Dollands Moor and Calais Fréthun through the Channel Tunnel (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14036377443/">click here for the route</a>).

According to JohnS numbers of the wagons being hauled were 70 4938 7414, 70 4938 5279, 70 4938 7176, 70 4938 7408, 70 4938 1302, 70 4938 2029, 704938 1682, 80 4736 1301, 80 4736 1095, 80 4736 1434, 80 4736 1293, 80 4736 1236, 80 4736 1277, 80 4736 1087, 80 4736 1111 and 80 4736 1038.

Laurent Knop photographed Euro Cargo Rail's loco number E 186-317 at Valenciennes (Nord - department 59) hauling loaded wagons working from <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/x4644/13687214105/">Calais Fréthun to Ebange</a> on 2 April 2014. Nicolas Tomaszewski also videoed a loaded train passing Beuvrages hauled by <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/france-ferroviaire/14112205833/">Euro Cargo Rail's E186 162-4</a>. Once in Ebange the steel is used at Tata's Hayange rail mill to produce rail for SNCF's LGV Est européenne construction programme to extend the French high-speed rail network. 66021 (works number 968702-021) was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada in 1998 and unloaded from the Heavy Lift Ship MV "Fairmast" at Newport Docks on 29 October 1998.
