Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 6430 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA. called Upsala or John Johnson House. Built 1798, stone with wood trim in the Federal Style. A Significant part of the Colonial Germantown Historic District, on the NRHP, and listed separately on the NRHP. Across the street from Cliveden, a major site in the Battle of Germantown, 1777. American troops probably operated from the site, perhaps using a small building now incorporated in the larger building at rear.
