Summary
[edit]Description61 Vir as seen with a 12.5" telescope with a field of view of 45.1 arcminutes.jpg |
English: 5 minute exposure of the sun-like star 61 Virginis with a 12.5" telescope at 2009-12-27 12:30 UT (5:30 Rodeo, NM time). 61 Vir is a G5V class star slightly less massive than the Sun (G2V), located about 27.8 light-years away in the constellation of Virgo. It has an apparent magnitude of 4.74, making it a dim naked eye star under dark skies. This telescope has a field of view of 45.1 arcminutes. This is basically how the Sun would appear from a distance of 30 light-years. |
