Description
English: Candid set of this brand new 2013 Iveco Stralis 560

Central Southland Freight (Winton):

The Iveco Stralis is a heavy-duty truck produced by the German manufacturer Iveco Magirus since 2002. The Stralis replaced the EuroStar and EuroTech models; it covers the range above the Eurocargo, between 19 and 44 tonnes.

In 2007, the Stralis received minor changes to cabin and front of the vehicle. All models have the EuroTronic gearbox, which have full or semiautomatic modes. The original Stralis, introduced in 2002, was the first heavy truck with an automated gearbox as standard equipment.

All engines are four-valve straight-6 with modern pump nozzle injection.

Cursor 13, 12.9 l capacity: 368-412 KW (500-560 PS)

Iveco Cursor 13L @ 560hp - Euro 5 emission standards - ZF 16 speed Eurotronic automated transmission - Meritor 46,000lbs rear axles with diff locks - 90T GCM B-double rated

IVECO Cursor 13 engine: offers power ratings of 450, 500 or 560 hp and up to 1840 Lb/Ft of torque. Utilising Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology with exhaust gas after-treatment, the IVECO Cursor 13 engine adheres to the current Euro 5 – ADR 80/03 emission standards. While this technology limits the environmental impact of the engine emissions, SCR also provides a significant decrease in fuel consumption. Using four valves per cylinder and a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), the Cursor 13 engine delivers high torque values over a wide range of engine speeds. This in turn reduces the number of gear changes resulting in greater fuel efficiency and less engine wear.

The 560 HP Cursor 13 Euro 5 with variable geometry turbine (VGT) engine, delivers a maximum torque of 2500 Nm starting at 1000 rpm maintaining it up to 1575 rpm. The top of the Cursor engine range offers high performance for heavy duty uses and for those who require high average commercial speed.
