Description
English: Coins of ancient India depict motifs that were widely recognized by its population. This is a post-Gupta, 6th century era coin from Bengal region (king Shashanka). The coin is significant for showing Shaivism motif on one side and Vaishnavism-Shaktism motif on the other.

The coin's original photograph was printed in 1922 by C.J. Brown, Oxford University Press. Therefore PD-1923 applies.
