Title
5 Sherds of late Iron Age to Roman pottery, (front)
Description
English: Five sherds of a shell tempered coarse ware, probably from the late Iron Age to early Roman period. The five sherds are comprised of a base sherd, three body sherds and a rim sherd, not neccesarily from the same vessel. The sherds each have large shell inclusions within a dark grey fabric. The larger of the three body sherds has very subtle linear decoration on the exterior, probably achieved by dragging an implement against the pot whilst it was being spun on a wheel. Another of the body sherds has a crude zig-zag decoration. The rim sherd has a groove below the rim and looks to be a fragment of a bowl.
