Title
593945 medieval spindle whorl
Description
English: Medieval lead spindle whorl, 31mm in diameter and 11mm thick. The object is in good condition with a cream/yellow patina and weighs 50.15g. The whorl has a central hole 8mm in diameter and has a rectangular section. The surface of the whorl has triangular and rectangular radiating indentations all over both sides, giving the impression of a cogged wheel. One side looks as though it was squashed when still molten.
