Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This lovely little house, adorned by colourfull tiles, lush green plants and beautifull fish belongs to Felizardo family. The house was initially given as quarters to live in to Roque Douardo, who was a cook, by his landlady. Roque resided in the house with his wife Ana Quieteria and their children, Winston, Piedad and Conception.

While Piedad died at a young age, Winston moved out of the house in 1940’s. Conception married Francis Felizardo. The couple had 6 children: Antonio, Rosaline, Wilfred, Angello, John and Philip. Angello married Sally and John married Sarita. Brandon, Savio, and Stephanie are fourth generation of the family living in the house. The family remembers a happy life though full of hard work and constraints in the house.

For many years the family used to live in only one or two rooms in the house. The rest were occupied by other tenants. It was only after 1991 that they had the entire house to themselves. Rosaline recalls the days they had no electricity and they used to study in the ligth of lamps. Wilfried, fond of birds and fish even now, remembers the hen’s pen they used to have in the corner of the house and the birds and fish they kept in varied tanks and cages. In the evenings, you can always find Willy sitting outside, on his favourite stool next to the fish bowl, with a guitar in his hand and strains of lovely music drifting through the air.
