English: This image contains two photos. John Doyle with three fellow pilots of 56 Squadron at Val Heureux early 1918. The photo shows 4 officers of 56 Squadron, Irwin, FC Cyril Crowe, John Doyle and Mulroy. The lower photo contains many of 60 Squadron's 'A Flight'. Scammel, Barrett, Carmen, Wormald, Edwards, Robinson, Morris, Hutcheson, Nash, Haworth, Duncan, Bird, Haslins, Johnstons, Stewart-Smith, Rayner and Thompson. These photos were provided by my Grandfather, John E. Doyle.
These photos appeared in his autobiography, "My Life On Wings" in 1991. This book was published in a limited quantity by Michael Quinion Associates, Thornbury, Bristol, BS12 1SE, England. These images were scanned and created by me. |
