English: 55 Baker Street For many years, this was the head office of Marks and Spencer, a long office block occupying the west side of Baker Street between the junctions of Blandford Street and Dorset Street.
M&S moved out in 2006 and the building is approaching the end of a refurbishment designed by Make Architects A poster describes the glass wall that has been inserted Once complete the central (glass) facade will serve as a canvas for a vast public artwork designed by lighting specialists Jason Bruges Studio. Shifting patterns of coloured light will enhance the three-dimensional form of the structure. |
