RHODODENDRONS It is our privilege this year to supply old and new customers adequately with this most popular of our broad-leaved evergreen shrubs, the Rhododendrons. Although the large flowers which are produced by this charming plant in June and July are equalled in beauty by only a few flowers of other kinds, nevertheless, even without the bloom, this shrub is a "year around" embellishment to either the most sumptuous of estates or the smallest of lawns or gardens, this by virtue of its long, glossy, decidedly attractive leaves. Lovett's Nursery has been particularly fortunate in secur- ing a large and splendid assortment of these gorgeous broad-leaved shrubs, which are simply wait- ing for their opportunity to help make your house a true home—the envy of and the model for your less fortunate neighbors. Here they are, ready for your order, and certain to please you. HYBRID RHODODENDRONS We have been particularly fortunate this year in obtaining specimens of these splendid hybrids. They are colorful and sturdy, beau- tiful in both flower and foliage, and indis- pensable to any shrub collection. Sturdy 10 to 15 in. plants, $2.50 each. ROSEUM ELEGANS—Good rose. KETTLEDRUM—Rich crimson. AMPHION—White center; margin pink. CATAWBIENSE ALBUM—White. MRS. C. S. SARGENT—Bright pink. PRESIDENT LINCOLN—Red. SEEDLING HYBRID RHO- DODENDRONS Although we cannot determine the color of each individual bloom until the blooming period of these shrubs, the exceptional elegance of their parents guarantees a splendid assortment of colors. You may be surprised at the glory of their hues, but assuredly you will not be disappointed. 6 to 12 in. plants, $1.50 each. RHODODENDRON MAXIMUM The hardiest of the species and a strong grower. Contrary to common belief,, it does equally well in sun or shade, so long as the soil does not contain lime. We handle Rhodo- dendrons in quantities, in connection with our landscape department, and invite inquiries from those interested in carload lots. In small quantities we ofifer the following sizes: 18 to 24 in., $1.50; 2 to 3 ft., $2.50; 3 to 4 ft.. $3.50 each.
