Photographer's comment: The photo was taken on the "north side" terminal of Heathrow whilst the central terminals were being built. As spotters we were not approved of in the area where friends and family of arriving, but there were other areas in which we could watch the aircraft movements. The camera used was a Voightlander "Bessa", this used 120 roll film and by inserting a screen into the camera before loading the film one could take 6 x 9cm, 6 x 6cm or 4.5 x 6cm photos. |
