[edit]Description4643-Virxe do Porto en Meiras (Coruña) (21034967488).jpg | El santuario marinero de la Virxe do Porto La capilla de Nosa Señora do Mar, también conocida como Virxe do Porto, corona un minúsculo peñasco de las Rías Altas gallegas, en el norte del litoral coruñés. El atractivo de la ermita varía según el estado del tiempo y de la mar. Cuando éste es apacible y hay bajamar, la blanca figura se convierte en el destino de una corta excursión desde la playa de Meirás, en el municipio de Valdoviño. Sin embargo, cuando ruge el temporal del Atlántico y sube la marea, los surfistas acuden a disfrutar de las olas y la capilla queda aislada, desafiando sola la bravura del océano. Entonces, el mejor mirador sobre el conjunto es el faro de la Punta Frouxeira.
