English: 400 KV supergrid pylon near M27 Jn 2. The lines from Nursling substation and Calshot power station (Southampton) bend 30 degrees north here and cross the M27 on their way to Mannington substation (west of Ringwood). This part of the grid is expected to carry 1020 MW of power during the winter peak 2006. |
