Confederate (red) units are divisions except Wickham, Lee, and Payne are brigades.The (blue) Union corps (and Crook) consist of two or three divisions each. Wilson is a cavalry division. Arrow points to important Berryville Pike and its "canyon". |

TwoScarsUp has added highlights of the Union and Confederate positions plus an arrow marking the Berryville Pike and labels for the Martinsburg and Valley Pikes. Wickham and Lee's positions have also been noted per the Library of Congress Map titled "Battle field of Winchester, Va. (Opequon) [September 19, 1864]". |
