3rd Cavalry Regiment M113 damaged by a mine

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: View of some of the damage sustained by armoured personnel carrier 20A of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, which struck a mine while on operations. The explosion removed the front two drive sprockets and the front two road wheels and support stations on both sides of the vehicle, as well as removing the differential, trim vane and engine hatch. The engine access panel inside the vehicle was also buckled outward, which contributed to severe injuries sustained by the vehicle driver, 312838 Lance Corporal John Arthur Graham. Standing beside the vehicle is 216384 Corporal Erik Robert Frisken, who also sustained burns to his arms and body as a result of the explosion.
