Description

Hotel Seward, which appears on the bottom left of the photo, opened at the same time as the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in 1909. It served as the headquarters for members of the Arctic Club. The King County Courthouse appears at the right. The first five stories of the courthouse were completed in 1916 and the additional stories were added between 1929 and 1931.
