English: 3d Tactical Fighter Squadron A-7D Corsair IIs flight 71-0315 and 71-0317.
Both aircraft were delivered to the 354th Tactical Fighter Wing, Myrtle Beach AFB in 1972. Assigned to the 353d TFS. Deployed to Korat RTAFB Thailand in Oct 1972 and transferred to the 3d TFS/388th TFW in March 1973. 315 (c/n D-228) was transferred to the 23d TFW, England AFB, LA in late 1975, then transferred to the 162d Tactical Fighter Squadron, Ohio ANG in 1983. Retired to AMARC as AE0214 Sep 23, 1992. Seen in scrapyard 8/28/2000. 317 (c/n D-230) was transferred to the 23d TFW, England AFB, LA in late 1975. Transferred in 1979 to the 124th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Iowa Air National Guard; Transferred to the 166th TFS, Ohio Air National Guard in 1992 briefly before being retired to AMARC in September 1992. Seen in scrapyard 8/28/2000. |
